Prof.(Dr.) Marselin Almeida, D.Sc., FMASc. a Taxonomist is a renowned personality on the topic of plant diversity of coastal India. He belongs to the Milagris Parish and has organised a National Seminar on "Cultural and Ecological aspects of plant diversity of coastal India with thrust on conservation" from the 22nd to 24th of September at Navsarni, Sawantwadi.
